It wasn't even close. By a landslide, Quartzsite voters have said that they want change. Former Mayor Ed Foster beat former Councilman Jerry Lukkasson by 97 votes, with only 33 provisional ballots to be verified. This time around, Foster will no longer be the "Lone Ranger", unable to get a second to his motions. Challengers Mark Orgeron and Patricia Workman beat the incumbents, Vice Mayor Barbara Cowell and Councilman Joe Winslow by a similar margin.
Nobody expects them to go quietly however...

ReplyDeleteJust to fill you in Anon. Dana had the vehicle title stolen by the police dept. After MONTH attempting to retrieve it, the judge told him to go demand they return it. He had been there the day before and many times prior to this. MONTHS have gone by at this point. . As you could hear this man had still not even been given the case number. The officers knew he was upset, wouldn't you be? They knew he was at the end of his rope and purposely antagonized him. And I didn't see him swing at Mr. Gilbert, did you? These are the kind of under handed tactics the people of the town are tired of. Would you let your employees treat you like this? They are after all OUR employees... A fact that many seem to have forgotten..
