The
first 100 children who visit either the Quartzsite, Ariz. or Blythe
McDonald's restaurants at 8 a.m., on Saturday, July 27, will receive a
free backpack.
McDonald's restaurants throughout Arizona are
hosting Backpack Saturday, an event that will give away a total of
28,000 backpacks and help children get ready for school. The free
backpack offer excludes Wal-Mart and mall McDonald's restaurant
locations.
McDonald's Backpack Saturday is the largest event of
its kind in Arizona and we're excited to provide free backpacks and
community resources for the second consecutive year to thousands of
Arizona families," said Joe Johnson, local McDonald's owner. "We believe
this community outreach event will enrich our customers' lives and help
our local families prepare for the upcoming school year."
