Blythe to consider RV parking Ordinance

BLYTHE, Calif – The First Reading of a new city ordinance to restrict RV parking on the streets of the City will be at the Tuesday City Council meeting. The 2-day limit parking on-street parking restrictions are being proposed by Mayor Galvin and the Blythe Police Department.
Apparently the Blythe Police Department has received complaints regarding motor homes and other RVs, trailers and utility vehicles being parked for long periods of time on city streets. The City's current ordinance as written does not give the City the authority to take action on violators.
Two of the three main provisions of the proposed ordinance are:
  • No person shall park or leave standing any Recreational Vehicle or Trailer, regardless of length or width, upon any public street or highway in the City for a period of time exceeding forty-eight (48) hours.
  • No person shall run electrical cords, extension cords, hoses, cables, or other items across, above or on the parkway or sidewalk from a residential or commercial property to a Recreational Vehicle or Trailer parked on a public street.
The new ordinance was developed by legal council and the Police Department after receiving input from the City Council apparently as the result of a study session held at City Hall at the request of Mayor Galvan, to determine if there was a need.
The written materials claim it is best suited for our City, that it provides the police with the proper tool to take action when they receive a complaint of extended storage of RV and utility trailers on the street.
The ordinance however does not limit police to complaints for enforcement.

  1. As it shows clearly, We, as Americans, are voting for the wrong people.
Every year the Quartzsite festival gets smaller and smaller while other town's festivals are getting bigger and better with the Vendors that were coming here.
Our last festival was so bad that a lot of vendors and people said they wished they had just went to a flea market, it would have been a lot more fun and the shopping would have been a lot better.
Now Blythe is choosing the cheesy way out and coming up with another parking zone law.
As you will see this next season, the show will be even worse, and the prices are even more in and at every level.
Alex Taft is up to something, and it isn't for the general public. What is it?
Does any one know who this Brannan is?
He seems like a snake in the grass and has something up his sleeve. We need no less than two more people in government who is honest and forthright, The general public is taking this lightly, that's the same way Nashville was and look at what happened, they saw it coming and thought it wouldn't affect them.
Those people are owned, if you don't praise them for the way they think and what they do, you can die and dry up and fly away with the dust.
People over 65 are thought of as nothing more than hoping they will hurry up and die.
Quartzsite was at one time the number 2 in the world biggest and number one best gem show in the world. Oh it's the economy; that is BS. In the last ten years more millionaires and billionaires have been made on the earth than in the world's history. Check the numbers and see for your self.
Not all did it honestly, and I'm sure most didn't, but the reason here in America is that we Americans are not holding our government accountable. So unless you are a true and there is no help for you and you are a no good reprobate, the actions of your American government should be really making you angry.
Sign vote everybody out and support those who are not part of the status quo. `
