FUND SET UP FOR QUARTZSITE

The Greater Phoenix Tea Party has  posted the following notice:
Attention: You can help the Quartzsite officers, secretary, and Jennifer Jones by making a donation to the "Quartzsite Citizens Donation Fund" at any Wells Fargo Bank. Please spread the word, as these folks are going to need financial support.

  1. People need to save some earnings for a rainy day. That way, when rain arrives, they won't need to rely on my own rainy-day fund. Just which side is conservative here, anyway? It isn't enough that these people have my support, they want my money, too, because they haven't saved any of their own?

  2. They didn't ask for money. People wanted to know where to donate for their legal bills. No law abiding citizens saves for that kind of rainy day.

  3. It wasn't reported "that people wanted to know where to donate." Had such fact actually been stated, posters might not form wrong impressions. Credit goes to the DFP for posting all views, if it actually is posting all views (no way to know for sure). Free speech is free speech, no matter one's opinion.

  4. Who signed the signature card for "Quartzsite Citizens Donation Fund" at Wells Fargo Bank?

  5. Someone in the tea party, unrelated to the people in Quartzsite. No one asked them to do it, they chose to because Tea Party people care when other Americans need help.

  6. Illegal arrests cost money for legal representation. Think of them as silly lawsuits, they still need defended.

A legal defense fund now, and later I hope a fund for the Pizza party will be set up after the city council resigns! Good luck guys!

  7. The DESERT FREEDOM PRESS,

Have the folks from Quartzsite contacted any civil liberties groups to see if they would provide free legal assistance? One organization that I know of that might be interested in the free speech aspects of the conflict is The Rutherford Institute:
